YATES TO PERFORM AT BRITISH AWARDS

The annual British Country Music Association will host it's annual awards gala this coming Sunday night, November 24th at the beautiful Concord Suite at Heathrow in London. A 'Who's Who' among British entertainers are scheduled to appear, including long-time UK favorite, Charlie Landsborough, plus appearances by Henry Smith, Pete Kennedy and several others.

While Nashville is well represented among nominees that include Vince Gill, Tim McGraw, and Carrie Underwood, among others for International Act of the Year, the only American artist that is scheduled to perform live on the show will be Grammy-Nominated singer/songwriter, Billy Yates. Yates will close the show with an eight song set.

For the last ten years, Yates has carved a niche among country music lovers around the world. He tours extensively in Europe, headlining concerts in nearly every European country imagineable. In addition to his popularity in Europe, the frequent Grand Ole Opry guest performer has also performed in front of sold-out shows in, China and in Japan, where he was asked to perform at the world-renown, Country Gold Festivial in Kumumoto, Japan in 2011.

Yates was recently featured on the Irish TV series, 'Opry an Luir where he was the first American artist to be spotlighted in the popular hour-long special which went into nearly ten thousand homes via the BBC and TG4 channels. The show was hosted by Irish mega-star, Daniel O'Donnell. During the full concert, filmed in the beautiful Newry Hall in Northern Ireland, Yates and O'Donnell performed a duet on the traditional classic, "I Wonder Where You Are Tonight".

Plans are in the works for an Australian tour this coming Summer, plus additional dates all around the UK and in Europe. Watch this site for a formal announcement in the coming weeks.
