“Billy Yates wrote the songs Choices and I Don’t Need No Rockin’ Chair for George Jones. The irony is that I found this song on the same day as the George Jones memorial service at the Grand Ole Opry.
The song is in the same vein as Willie’s song, On The Road Again, which is why I thought it would be perfect for Willie to sing and play on this one.
We recorded it in a straight bluegrass style, with Aaron McDaris kicking off the song on banjo, and the other musicians of The Rage trading licks with Willie throughout the song.
I can’t wait for you to hear it!!”
